About the Event

Join us for an exclusive startup event and networking evening designed to connect you with the local startup ecosystem, but also inspire you and help you navigate the complexities of scaling startups in China and Asia. This event is tailored for startup enthusiasts, founders, CXOs, investors, and professionals from the local and global startup ecosystem.

Keyonte Speeches

Four dynamic keynote speeches, each 8 minutes long, focusing on innovation or trend-related topics. These are serial entrepreneurs, VCs, or other key figures of the local and global innovation ecosystem. 

Startup Pitches

Six local startups will each have 5 minutes to pitch their projects to the audience.

The startups will vie for the "Startup with Flair" award, with the three winners receiving a cash prize of 300, 200, and 100 RMB for the first, second, and third prizes.

There will be no judging panel; the audience will vote for the winners through a 10-minute voting session after all pitches.

Networking Session

Network with entrepreneurs, investors, and key figures in the startup community.

The evening will conclude with a networking session featuring free-flowing beer, soft drinks, and pizza.

This will provide ample opportunity for attendees to connect, share ideas, and discuss potential collaborations.

Chin Yung (CY) Lu

Senior VP of Startups Invest Hong Kong

Chin Yung (CY) Lu is a distinguished leader in the startup ecosystem of Hong Kong. Currently serving as the Senior Vice President of StartmeupHK under Invest Hong Kong, CY has extensive experience in supporting entrepreneurs, SMEs, and multinationals in establishing and expanding their businesses in Hong Kong. His expertise spans blockchain applications, market research, and international business development, complemented by his multilingual capabilities in English, Japanese, Cantonese, German, and Mandarin. CY holds an MBA from the International University of Japan and the University of Washington, along with a Master's in Telecommunications from the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology.

Tak Lo

Chief Vision Officer of Kedoom

Tak Lo is the Chief Vision Officer of Kedoom, an AI fertility startup focused on large sperm model (LSM) technology. He founded one of the first accelerators dedicated to AI and authored the book "I, Leader: Leadership Philosophy in the Age of AI". Tak has spoken at AI-specific events like the Human-Level AI Conference and has previously built the first international office for Techstars, the world's largest accelerator program.

Tak advises organizations and government agencies on leveraging technology disruption and economic transformation. He has served on various committees in Hong Kong and Estonia and has been featured in global media like Bloomberg, The Economist, and Forbes. Tak is an established keynote speaker, having delivered talks at events such as TEDx and Connected Capital. He also writes for the Automated, an AI and business newsletter with over 16K subscribers. Tak holds an MBA from London Business School and an economics degree from the University of Chicago.

Gabey (Him Kee) Li

Greater Bay Area Acceleration Manager

Gabey Li is a dynamic force in the world of tech startups, with over six years of experience in supporting early-stage to scaling-stage companies. Specializing in cross-border market entry and strategic resource matching, Gabey has played a pivotal role in the success of numerous tech ventures entering the Chinese and Singaporean markets. With a deep understanding of the unique challenges of these regions, Gabey is known for her ability to identify and leverage competitive advantages, forge strategic partnerships, and execute high-impact growth strategies. Her expertise makes her a sought-after advisor for tech companies looking to expand in Asia.

Jelte Ansgar Wingender

CEO Founders Lair & China Country Partner Beijing for German Accelerator

Jelte is the CEO and Co-founder of Founders Lair, a technology platform that supports over 20,000 startups from more than 130 countries worldwide with access to global resources like acceleration programs, investment opportunities, corporate POCs, and startup competitions.

Jelte is also the China Country Partner in Beijing for German Accelerator, where he spearheaded operations to bring German scale-up startups to China. Before this, Jelte was the APAC and China Director of Startup Grind, the largest independent startup community organization in the world. He was also the first foreign employee at the Chinese state-owned enterprise Innoway, where he developed the corporate innovation arm.
